We Know Art

This first picture is a picture of Greek art. Greece has a rich artistic history that spans 5000 years. Greece gave birth to western classical art. Greek art has four main forms: architecture, sculpture, painting, and pottery. There are 3 scholarly distinctions of ancient Greek art: archaic, classical, and Hellenistic.

The picture below is of a fine artist that we interviewed. We learned the difference in a fine artist, folk artist, and applied artist. A fine artist has had much training in the arts, a folk artist has had no professional training, and an applied artist applies art to their everyday job.

The picture above is of graffiti which we learned
is a form of art.

The below picture is of Michelangelo's David, which
is one of his most famous sculptures. We learned
that Michelangelo not only did paintings like the
Sistine Chapel, but also many
sculptures like this one.

The picture to the right is another picture of graffiti that we found.
